God deserves the glory - because He is God, because He is the Creator, because He is in control of everything. God does not give His glory to anyone else. He is looking for people who will worship Him with all their hearts, with much joy and truly. What a privilege that God has given us music and song to praise and glorify Him! Come, praise and praise our God! Come praise and glorify our God! (“glorify” = English for “praise” or “glorify”)

Two reasons can prevent us from giving God all the glory:
- It can be that we exalt stars, artists and influencers and let self-expression, the desire for recognition or what is totally trendy go to our heads.
- But it can also be that we experience illness, grief, loss or bullying and then doubt and disappointment close our mouths.
Songs can speak directly to our hearts: they encourage or admonish, challenge or correct our view of God. Songs make the Lord Jesus bigger than our problems and our lives become right again. This is “Glorify”.
In contrast to the congregational songbook “ Harmony ” and the universal songbook “ Loben “, “Glorify” is intended to be a youth songbook. "Glorify" is a youth songbook specifically tailored to young people, teen circles, youth groups, youth conferences and leisure activities. We took appropriate musical, linguistic and thematic criteria into account when making the selection. It was also important to us that the songs were biblically based and that the authors did not represent any questionable church trends.
In addition to well-known songs such as “ Not through me ” by CityAlight , “ When the King Returns” by Miroslav Chrobak or “ Wurdig” by Natha, contributions from some non-professional songwriters enhance this book. We're excited to see how it's received.
In the age of digital media and streaming services, a new songbook may seem a little antiquated. However, a printed songbook still offers the best opportunity to spontaneously sing together without any other technical aids. Unlike endless databases, it includes thoughtful selection.
